My first camera was an old point and shoot with mail order Kodak Film canisters. I would drop off the spent film at City Market and pick up developed photos a week later. In a world before cell phones and TikTok, I grew up in the 90’s listening to Footloose on my grandparents old jutebox and playing pool or ping pong in the clubhouse. Summers were spent outside, adventuring during the day and playing Kick The Can well past dark. Film gave me a way to document those slow days of childhood, the ones we thought would last forever.
